We are especially looking for donations of:
- children's clothing in new or like-new condition
- 5 kv (or larger) generators
- children's musical instruments (all types)
- new solid-color, plain T-shirts (all sizes)
- lead-free oil-based paint
- white boards (for the school) with markers
- small slates for the younger children to use in school
- school exercise books
- laundry detergent (in packets or buckets, anti-bacterial, and color-safe)
- rolls or bolts of fabric to make uniforms and other clothing
- school desks and chairs
- plates and cups (aluminum works well)
- silverware (metal or plastic)
- medical supplies
- computers, digital camera, and other needed electronic equipment
Dream wish:
We have a dream for a good quality, 4-Wheel Drive vehicle (particularly a Toyota brand because repair parts are available in Sierra Leone) that can be used on the difficult terrain in Sierra Leone. We have a need to visit the provinces, which are still very hard hit by the aftermath of the civil war, and need a dependable vehicle in order to be able to get there from Freetown. We are hoping to find a car manufacturer or dealer who would be willing to donate the car to us. If there are car manufacturers with offices in Sierra Leone, that would be ideal. Otherwise, we would need to ship the vehicle to Sierra Leone for our use there.
Baby Items:
Crib sheets, cloth nappies, baby formula, nappy safety pins, plastic pants, baby bottles (plastic) with extra nipples, A&D ointment or cream, baby clothing, blankets.Household Items:
Towels, sheets, blankets, plastic sheets, rugs, carpets, window-screening material.
Toys:
Jump ropes, soccer balls, educational toys.
Frequent Flyer Miles:
People who travel frequently often have more airline miles accrued then they can use. Those unused frequent flyer miles can be a tremendous benefit to All As One. With the donated miles we can send more volunteers to Sierra Leone to help on many of our projects - especially medical personnel for our clinic.
